Hotel good, but sound insulation poor to external. Woken up by boy racers at 3.30am racing around ring road, and outside hotel.

We had booked a pre theatre meal 5.30-7pm and although we sat down at 5.30 our food did not arrive till 6.20 which meant we did not have our dessert as we would have had to rush to get to our show. However, the duty manager was most apologetic, some kitchen disaster, and arranged for us to have our dessert when we returned from the show together with a glass of wine, both complementary. Excellent customer service exceeding our expectations.

Visit the jewellery quarter and the museum, fascinating history and tour.

Had a room on the 7th floor with a reasonable view. The Carpet was marked and clearly old, the colour scheme dated and not befiting the building. Damage to the walls which could have been easily and quickly repaired! The bed was Comfy, the shower room very clean, the room was spacious but the remote didnt work.The heating controls made little to no effect! Breakfast was reasonable and marred only by the plates which although steamed still dirty as was the cutlery. was expecting better but noted reviews of late are like mine, less than complementry. Hotel possibly starting to slip!

Top Tip
There is a choice of parking within very short distance. quick access to shops and the NIA, although you could use holiday inn or premier in and save money, just not quite as good a view from Holiday express. The carpark that looks like a cage as you pass it on a38 is cheaper at £10 day!

Friendly staff on reception although they had not received the confirmation of the booking or that we had already paid for the room in advance. Quickly sorted out and able to continue with booking in. No request for disabled facility but bathroom was fitted out doe disabled user.

Good local shopping facilities and plenty of options to eat nearby within a 10 min walk
